At the time I first met Danny I didn't OWN a camera and my photos were so bad that I needed to throw away
my negatives. Just over a year later my photos of Danny Couch holding his Hoku in 2000 became my first
published photo. Since that time many of my photos have been used by other websites, books, CD covers
and a few other published works.
In March of 1999 I heard Danny sing, I BELIEVE I CAN FLY & I LOVE HAWAII which left an impression I will never
forget. I was inspired to buy the CD. When I went to the store and saw the cover, I laughed. I couldn't believe it was that
SAME CD, I had spent some time debating over the year before. I hoped this CD had the song, I LOVE HAWAII, but it
didn't. I was very impressed with what I heard and I finally learned the correct name to the song I thought
was called THIS IS ALOHA (Anyone else think that??)
I still wanted to find the I LOVE HAWAII song so I searched the web, I called the record stores in the
phone book, I still couldn't find anyone who sold his CD other than ALMOST PARADISE. I could only find
the I LOVE HAWAII CD online and had to wait weeks. Finally I was told that I could buy it after his Luau show. I
couldn't believe it took me so long to find that information. Back in 1999 it was hard to find current information on
the web about Danny.
Lately that has been changing. I'm sure like me, you are surfing the web to learn more about Danny and want
to know what's going on with his career. I hope to help provide the information that I learn about Danny Couch
to other Dan-Fans.
